Rejuran®

Rejuran® (Polynucleotide / PN Skin Rejuvenation)
Rejuran® is an injectable polynucleotide (PN) gel made from purified DNA fragments derived from salmon. It’s used to support overall skin quality—particularly hydration and texture—by working within the skin’s superficial layers.

Rejuran® is commonly chosen to help improve the appearance of:

  • fine lines and crepey texture

  • enlarged pores and uneven skin texture

  • dullness and dehydration

  • post-acne marks / uneven skin surface

A consultation is required to assess suitability and create a personalised plan. Results vary between individuals and a course of treatments may be recommended. As with any injectable procedure, temporary redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness can occur, and risks will be discussed prior to treatment.

How Rejuran works

Rejuran is an intradermal injectable treatment containing polynucleotides (PN) — purified DNA fragments (commonly sourced from salmon) formulated for skin regeneration and repair support. Rather than adding structural volume, PN is used to improve skin quality by influencing the dermal environment and supporting tissue recovery processes.

Proposed mechanisms of action

After placement into the superficial dermis via microinjections, PN is understood to work through several complementary pathways:

  1. Biostimulatory support of fibroblast activity
PN is thought to support dermal fibroblast function, which plays a key role in extracellular matrix (ECM) maintenance. Over time, this may contribute to improved skin elasticity and firmness through gradual ECM remodeling (e.g., collagen/elastin support).

  2. Dermal repair and anti-inflammatory modulation
PN has been described as having tissue-repair supporting properties and may help modulate inflammatory processes involved in barrier disruption and dermal stress. Clinically, this is often associated with improvements in the look of skin resilience, redness-prone sensitivity, and recovery (where appropriate).

  3. Improved dermal hydration and texture via ECM environment
By supporting the dermal matrix environment, PN may help improve the skin’s ability to retain moisture, contributing to a more hydrated, smoother texture and a “healthier skin” appearance rather than a change in facial shape.

  4. Microinjection effect + regenerative signalling
The injection technique itself creates controlled micro-trauma, which can trigger normal wound-healing cascades. PN is used to support this response, aiming for gradual improvements in skin surface quality over a course of treatments.

Why results are gradual (and why a course is recommended)

Rejuran is not an instant “lift” or “filler-style” result. Because it targets dermal remodeling and skin-quality changes, outcomes tend to develop progressively across multiple sessions as the skin responds between treatments. Individual results vary based on baseline skin condition, age, lifestyle factors, and treatment plan.

Rejuran treatment types

We offer different Rejuran formulations based on the area and concern:

1) Rejuran Classic (often referred to as “Healer”)

Best for: overall skin quality and maintenance
Common areas: full face, neck, décolletage
This is the most versatile option and is often selected for clients wanting improvements in overall hydration, texture and visible skin smoothness.

2) Rejuran Eye (for delicate areas)

Best for: the appearance of crepey texture and fine lines around the eyes
Common areas: under-eye region and crow’s-feet area (where appropriate)
Rejuran Eye is formulated for thinner, more delicate skin and is commonly chosen for a more refreshed under-eye look.

3) Rejuran Scar (targeted)

Best for: textural irregularities and areas of uneven skin surface
Common areas: selected scar-prone/uneven texture zones (where suitable)
Rejuran Scar is typically thicker in consistency and is used for more targeted placement in specific areas rather than full-face coverage.

Your clinician will recommend the best option (or combination) based on your skin goals and assessment.
