Under-Eye Concerns
Personalised consultations · Camberwell
A delicate area.
A considered approach.
You may have questions about hollowing, shadows, fine lines or puffiness around your eyes. At InnovaSkin Studio, we take time to understand what you have noticed and discuss appropriate next steps following an individual assessment.
Understanding the eye area
More than one possible cause.
The appearance of the under-eye area reflects your skin, natural anatomy and surrounding facial tissues. Similar-looking concerns may need different approaches, so assessment comes before a treatment recommendation.
Areas we can discuss
What have you noticed?
Four common concerns, considered as part of the whole picture.
01 / CONTOUR
Hollowing & Shadows
You may notice a hollow or a shadow where the lower eyelid meets the upper cheek, sometimes described as the tear trough.
We consider this area alongside the cheeks, skin and surrounding features before discussing what options, if any, may be appropriate.
03 / SKIN
Fine Lines & Texture
Fine lines, dryness or changes in the texture of the skin around your eyes may be noticeable at rest or with expression.
We discuss your current skincare, sensitivity and previous treatments, and assess the skin before recommending next steps.
02 / APPEARANCE
Dark Circles
You may have questions about colour or darkness beneath your eyes, whether it has been present for years or has changed recently.
Your assessment explores what you have noticed and considers whether skin care, further medical assessment or another approach may be suitable.
04 / CONTOUR
Puffiness & Under-Eye Bags
You may notice fullness beneath your eyes or changes in the transition between the eyelid and cheek.
We assess this separately from hollowing. Some concerns may be better addressed through medical or specialist assessment rather than cosmetic treatment.

-
PRP / PRF
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) are prepared from a small sample of your own blood to concentrate platelets. They differ in how they are processed, with PRF forming a fibrin network.
These treatments may help improve the appearance of fine lines, skin texture and some under-eye pigmentation, although evidence is limited and results vary. They do not address every cause of dark circles or hollowing. Suitability, potential benefits, risks and recovery are discussed during consultation.
-
An injectable polynucleotide treatment that may help improve the appearance of fine lines and delicate, crepey skin around the eyes. It focuses on skin quality rather than correcting every cause of under-eye hollowing, darkness or puffiness.
Results vary. Suitability, potential benefits, risks and recovery are discussed during consultation.
-
Under-eye contours are influenced by the relationship between the lower eyelid, eye socket and cheek. Changes in this area can create hollows or shadows that skincare alone may not address.
We assess your natural anatomy and the possible causes of these changes, then explain suitable options, their limitations and risks. Some concerns may require referral or no treatment.
-
Dryness, fine lines and changes in elasticity can affect the appearance of the delicate under-eye skin. These concerns may occur independently of hollowing or pigmentation.
Your assessment considers skin texture, hydration, sensitivity and current skincare to identify appropriate care options. Recommendations are tailored to your skin rather than assuming one approach suits everyone.
-
RF microneedling combines fine needles with radiofrequency energy to create a controlled response within the skin. Where suitable for the eye area, it may help soften the appearance of fine lines and improve crepey texture and mild skin laxity over time.
Results develop gradually and vary between individuals. Temporary redness, swelling and sensitivity can occur, and careful treatment selection is particularly important around the eyes.
-
A professional exfoliating treatment using a peel formulated for the delicate eye contour. Depending on the formulation, it may help improve surface smoothness, dullness, fine lines and some superficial pigmentation.
Eye peels target the skin’s surface rather than structural hollowing or eye bags. Temporary dryness, irritation or flaking may occur.
Not all under-eye concerns respond to cosmetic treatment. Results vary, and no outcome can be guaranteed. Your practitioner will explain relevant risks and aftercare before you decide.
